Join us for a panel discussion with upper and lower house state members of parliament from across political parties, as well as independents, where we will explore the three-fold role of a member of parliament: representative, legislator and scrutineer of government.
Find out how members juggle the demands of their role:
- representing constituents and local community organisations from their electorates
- examining and speaking to bills and legislation
- participating in parliamentary committees
- managing their time when holding official positions such as Ministers or Shadow Ministers, Parliamentary Secretaries, Presiding Officers or Chair of Committee Chair.
