What is the Leadership Program for Secondary School Students?
In the annual Secondary School Student Leadership program, school captains and student leaders throughout New South Wales are invited to visit the Parliament of NSW to develop their leadership skills.
When is the program held?
The program is conducted annually, usually during Term 1 and 2 of the school year.
What happens during the program?
The program recognises the school leadership role of students and provides them with the opportunity to meet their elected representatives and to develop their knowledge of constitutional and parliamentary processes, including the role of the Governor. During the program students hear from Members and Parliamentary Officers, view proceedings from the public galleries and visit Government House to meet with Her Excellency, the Governor.
How can I find out more?
