About the travel subsidy
Regional, rural and remote schools can access a travel subsidy when visiting NSW Parliament in 2026. The subsidy will be paid once an application has been received and the school has completed its tour and/or program at the Parliament of NSW.
Is my school eligible?
It is available to all schools located in eligible electorates 120km or more from the Parliament of NSW. Please see the list of eligible electorates below.
How much is the subsidy?
The subsidy is $500 per school.

How does my school apply the subsidy to our visit to the Parliament of NSW?
When you make a booking for a school tour or workshop at the Parliament of NSW, and your school qualifies for the new travel subsidy, please indicate you would like to apply for the subsidy when you call us to book. You will then receive an application form as well as confirmation of your school excursion. Please complete and return the subsidy form to the Education team [email protected] before your visit.
