The Parliament of NSW is calling on all young budding artists, from Kindergarten to Year 6, to showcase their talents by creating their own Coat of Arms for New South Wales.
This is the Coat of Arms of New South Wales The motto contains the Latin inscription “Orta recens quam pura nites” which, in English, means “Newly risen, how brightly you shine”. Learn more about the Coat of Arms of New South Wales. |
Now it’s your turn to create your own Coat of Arms for New South Wales and motto. To help you get started, we’ve created a template for you to use – just click HERE to download and print.
Theme: Draw something that represents your electorate/area or an aspect of your community. Your design could include drawings of a feature in your electorate such as a building or monument, a park or playground, the beach, the countryside, its flora and fauna, or even the people who make it a special place to live in – anything goes!
What would your motto be? Don’t forget to write it on the ribbon provided on the template!
