This new program addresses the core depth study: ‘Australia: making a nation – from Federation to WWI (1889- c.1919)’. Students will participate in an educational seminar about Federation, the constitutional conventions and the importance of the Parliament of NSW. The program also utilises various sites and sources, including the Legislative Assembly, the Legislative Council, artworks and archival sources within the precinct. This program will be complemented by resources and strategies for use during and after the excursion.

Students who participate in the Stage 5 History Site Study will develop an understanding of the nature and functions of law through the examination of the law-making processes and institutions.
